Inkspot3d.com is the online portfolio and demo reel site for Michael Bates, a 3D artist living in Seattle, Washington. A graduate of the prestigious Art Institute of Denver (BA in Media Arts and Animation), Mike has acquired skill with 3D Studio Max, Maya, MODO, Mudbox, ZBrush, and a variety of specialized 3D tools, as well as experience with the Adobe Creative Suite of graphic tools.

3D Modeling

Mike's artwork spans a variety of media and tools, from traditional media for concept art and life drawing to sophisticated 3D animation and rendering software. The portfolio provides visual samples of his work, and also case studies describing the methods and materials used. Additionally, a high-resolution PDF of the portfolio is available for download and printing.

Demo Reel

A demo reel of 3D models shows off Mike's handiwork from a variety of angles and treatments. This Flash video movie shows both 3D renders and traditional art.
